Our newest addition to the fleet and surely one of the finest in touring craftsmanship, the new Kodiak is designed to balance the counter-purposes of speed, carrying capacity, stability and comfort. The 17’ Kodiak features a Trihedral hull & convex waterlines similar to racing kayaks. The fish-form puts the wide point at the knees instead of the hips for excellent stability in rolling seas and most wind conditions. Slender hips ensure superior water release. It features an adjustable seat, thighbrace and backbrace for comfortable extended expeditions. Hatches, bow & stern, combine neoprene, polyethylene plastic and quick-release webbing straps for dry, easy use. Deck pack nets organize those small cumbersome items and the well placed deck lines aid in the event of a self-rescue. The ergonomic grabloops make loading and un-loading a snap. Whether you’re a large or small paddler, you will appreciate the Kodiak’s glide, carving and stable cruising abilities, despite what Mother Nature throws at you.
